Last week was filled with so many reasons to be thankful. On Sunday, we had a wonderful time at our New Family Welcome Gathering, with many people joining us for a joyful time of fellowship. Then, on Wednesday, we finally completed our backyard project, including the construction of our new storage building. On Friday, we received more wonderful news. Our denomination informed us that they had decided to provide generous financial support for Missionary Minwha Yoon, whom our church has been supporting. It was especially encouraging to know that our denomination recognized both her ministry and the ministry of our church. Through this generous support, even more doors will be opened for mission work.
So many wonderful things happened last week. I truly believe that all these blessings were made possible through your faithful prayers, cooperation, and dedication. As we prepare for Thanksgiving, I feel that God has already blessed us with many beautiful fruits to offer Him this year.
I believe that a church should always seek to bear good fruit. After all, Jesus said, “Yes, just as you can identify a tree by its fruit, so you can identify people by their actions.” (Matthew 7:20)
And I am so thankful that our church has been able to bear such meaningful fruit again this year. We have seen not only visible blessings, such as improvements to our church facilities, but also spiritual blessings, including the many new families who have joined our church and the recognition and support we have received from our denomination. Through all of these blessings, we have even more reasons to give glory to God.
But then I realized something. We still have two more months left in this year! That means there is still time for us to bear even more fruit. As I thought about this, I began to wonder what other wonderful things God might have in store for us during these remaining two months. And that thought filled my heart with hope and anticipation.
My prayer is that we will continue to serve the Lord faithfully and do our very best to bear even more fruit that is pleasing to Him. And when we come to the end of this year, I hope we can look back with grateful hearts, knowing that the fruits of our faith and service have brought even greater joy and glory to our Heavenly Father.
